Navratras are one of the important festivals celebrated by Hindus in India. This festival is celebrated twice every year in the month of March and October for 9 days. This Navratras are known as Chaitra Navratras which are starting from tomorrow and will continue till 14th April. End day of chaitra navratras Ram Navmi (birth of Lord Rama).

Here are the 10 Best places according to me that not to be missed on the eve of Navratras:

Shri Mata Vaishnodevi: Mata Vaishnodevi is the must visit place on the eve of Navratras in Katra near Jammu city. This popular shrine is located on Trikuta Hills. Lakhs of devotees visit here on the eve of Navratras. Mata Vaishno Bhawan is beautifully decorated with flowers which is brought from foreign countries. On reaching to the popular shrine devotees seek blessing from Goddess Durga . Another reason I am suggesting to visit Sri Mata Vaishnodevi during Navratras is katra (the base camp where trek to Vaishnodevi Bhawan begins) organized the most famous Navratra festival in Jammu Province. It is an annual event promoted by Directorate of Tourism, Jammu and Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji Shrine Board. Hundreds of thousands of devotees pay their attendance at Katra for the festival.

  1. This is such an informational post Rahat. I like the way you explore India and give important information. I have had the opportunity of visiting the Sheetla Mata temple in Gurgaon. Sheetla Mata Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to the Mata Sheetla Devi, wife of Guru Dronacharya who was the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas. Gurgaon which is now called Gurugra is named after Guru Dronacharya.

    Looking more posts from you.

    Cheers 🙂
